The slender inro of rectangular shape decorated in iro-e togidashi, and hiramaki-e with a courtier viewing an autumn landscape from his garden pavillion, bands of encircling clouds in nashiji, the reverse a continuation of the landscape with autumn grasses and lines of retreating geese, interior cases gyobu-nashiji; fitted with a lacquer ojime carved as a cluster of shells, and a wood netsuke modelled as a figure holding a lion mask over his head--3½in. (8.7cm.) high, small nicks
