Of oval section decorated with a scene of Chinese sages in mountains overlooking the sea, the landscape with temples and a pagoda carved in low relief in inlaid horn, inlaid aogai forming the continuos wave pattern of the sea, cord runners decorated in vertical strips of aogai, interior cases in nashiji; fitted with a lacquer ojime with inscribed octagonal friezes, and a wood netsuke carved as a professional sneezer--3 5/8in. (9.3cm.) high, losses to aogai
