the complete set of seventeen unsigned aquatints in colors, hors-texte, the colors exceptionally bright and fresh, eighty-two woodcuts after Rouault, in-texte, title, text and justification, on Montval, copy 41 of 250 (copies 1-35 on Japon Imperial with a suite of the black states; copies 36-250 as here; there were also 30 hors-commerce), the full sheets, bound as issued, pale staining, not affecting the aquatint plates, original wove paper wrapper (stained, front cover detached, lacking spine). 455 x 345mm.
