woodcut printed in black and gray from two blocks, 1938, on simili Japan, signed in pencil, inscribed Houtsnede Dag en Nacht f 40,- along the lower sheet edge, with wide margins, lightstained, few foxmarks predominantly at the margins, some soft folds and creases, a pencil number inscribed at the lower right sheet edge, a small soiled spot at the extreme upper left sheet corner, four pinholes at the extreme sheet corners, otherwise generally in good condition
