A George III teapot
of spherical form, on a gadrooned foot and with a tapering angular spout, ivory scroll handle, gadrooned inverted rim and domed hinged cover with circular ivory finial, engraved with a Greek Key frieze with a narrower foliate frieze beneath, one side engraved with an armorial, crest and motto, the other with an elaborate monogram, the underside engraved: "Jane Tennant 1804", Robert & Samuel Hennell, London 1802 - 6½in. (16.50cm.), 22oz. gross.
