Of sarcophagus outline, finely chased and tooled with alternating panels of acanthus scrolls and lattice and fishscale cartouches, the covers inset with miniature paintings on ivory, depicting St. Paul's Cathedral and vessels on the river Thames at Greenwich Hospital, the interiors lined in ivory, on bun feet, with the Britannia standard assay marks of 1836, and the maker's stamp E.F
