Designed as a line of quatrefoil motifs set variously with half pearl, sapphire, ruby and bright green jadeite cabochons, between a fine double border of filigree and granulated florets, late Qing dynasty
According to the grandchildren of Yuan Shi Kai, this bracelet was given by the Empress Long Yu to the wife of Yuan Shi Kai on the occassion of her presentation to the Empress during the late Qing dynasty
Inscribed i Tianjin wu hua jin zhu zhi qing - pure gold respectfully presented from Tianjin
