A Chinese red pottery model of an equestrienne rider
seated on a saddled and bridled horse standing four square on a rectangular base with the head turned slightly to the left, the female figure wearing a tunic and striped trousers and with her hair pulled up in a bun, traces of red, green, white and black pigments remaining -- 15in. (38cm.) high, Tang Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear.)
