James Buchanan first secured the contract to supply Scotch Whisky to the House of Commons in 1885, their Refreshments Department wrote to him in November of the same year to express their satisfaction and high opinion of the quality of the whisky. The contract has continued unbroken to the present day and the quality of the spirit has been maintained to the same standard
