Breaky Bottom vineyard is in Rodmell, near Lewes, East Sussex. Established in 1974 by Peter Hall, the wines are now recognised as being amongst the finest produced in England. The Müller-Thurgau 1992, with it's powerful bouquet and exotic spicy fruits, was awarded a Bronze Medal in the International Wine Challenge of 1997 confirming the view that these wines have the ability to age and improve. The Seyval-Blanc 1993 shows a more subtle fruit/oak balance whilst the 1995 has apple fresh, zingy acidity. The 1993 Oaked Fumé was awarded an International Wine Challenge Seal of Approval in 1997.
