A Unique Decanter Label by Genta
fashioned after the second of two designs for the 1978 label by Riopelle. The decanter label: rectangular, the patinated silver plaque applied with gold Rothschild coat-of-arms below a Baron's coronet, set below an engraved poem and above the applied designation of Château Mouton-Rothschild, inset with four detachable silver and 18K gold engraved and enamelled overlapping circle motifs, with triangular hooks on the reverse for suspension, all bordered by an 18K gold frame, fully marked, also engraved Riopelle, 7.3cm. high 5.6cm. wide, 60gr. gross weight.
together with custom-made leather presentation case
The engraving reads:"et parfois radieux dans nos palais de foins nous déjeunons d'aurore et nous soupions d'étoiles". Signed "Nélligan 1898". Also engraved below the armorials "cette récolte 1978 a produit 268.350 bordelaises et demies 3.170 magnums et jéroboams tout mis en bouteille au Château", signed "Philippe de Rothschild."
