The wines in this collection were removed from 55°F temperature-controlled cellars in two homes belonging to a long-standing client of Christie's Wine Department. Virtually all the older wines were purchased at Christie's London auctions in the late 1960's and 1970's, including sales of the Glamis Castle cellars, and the cellar of Sir George Meyrick
