Goldfinger, 1964
An important collection of drawings by the production's art department for a number of key scenes from the 1964 United Artists/Eon film Goldfinger, the majority of drawings in black ink and wash, some numbered in ink or pencil, one thought to be a concept drawing of the laboratory by Ken Adam, others by unidentified hands, various scenes include: Bond spying on Auric Enterprises and interior scenes of the dismantling of Goldfinger's Rolls Royce (3); fifteen drawings of Bullion Blvd. and the army base outside Fort Knox showing the chaotic effects of the spray/gas operated by Pussy Galore's team of pilots in the first step of Operation Grand Slam (15); eighteen drawings of the interior of Fort Knox and Oddjob's attempt to prevent Bond from disabling Golfinger's atomic bomb, each featuring either Bond or Oddjob or the two characters together, one of the moment when Oddjob 'blows a fuse' (18); three drawings and eleven xeroxes of Bond's final battle with Goldfinger on board his private aircraft, the majority featuring the fight between the two characters and Goldfinger's exit via a window, several featuring the plane's downward spiral and ultimate crash, one inscribed in pencil Cut on flash filling whole screen (14), the majority -- 9x12¾in. Lot Essay

It is thought that a number of the drawings are post-production as they give a detailed and accurate representation of the interior of Fort Knox which would not have been the case had they been concept drawings.
