Lot Essay

In From Russia With Love, James Bond takes a phone bug detector out of his brief case in his Istanbul Hotel room. He then removes it from its leather case and holds it under the base of the telephone in his room, having read the gauge on the device he then calls reception and tells them that the room won't do.

This device purchased by the vendor from the production company after the film, appears to match up with the one used in From Russia With Love in every detail.
