Finely cast and richly gilt overall, the blade bordered by stylized flames interspersed with makara masks and the auspicious Buddhist symbols of a vase, an endless knot, two fly-whisks, a canopy, and a pair of addorsed fish amidst lotus blossoms, the ball-shaped knop incised with foliate scrolls with beaded borders adjacent to molded lotus petals and a key-fret border, all surmounted by an eight-pronged half-vajra
