A RARE WELL-CARVED MUGHAL VARIEGATED GRAY JADE ZHADOU

The compressed body carved on the exterior with lobes set between leaf tip borders above and below, raised on a shallow foot rim formed by the under-turned edges of the delicate blossom which forms the base, the widely flared rim carved on the underside with a band of large leaves and on top with eighteen petals centered by a slender leaf rising from a border of small leaf clusters encircling the mouth rim, the translucent stone of pale grayish-white tone with dark gray inclusions
