The exterior incised with two dragons striding through clouds and flames in pursuit of flaming pearls below a line border and a zigzag band of clouds, all under a green glaze reserved on a matte lemon-yellow ground

Lot Essay

A pair of bowls of this pattern was included in the Exhibition of Ming and Ch'ing Porcelain from the Collection of the T.Y. Chao Family Foundation, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1978, Catalogue, no. 116 and a single bowl was included in the Min Chiu Society exhibition, Splendour of the Qing Dynasty, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 9 June - 2 August 1992, Catalogue, p. 282, no. 149.
