Of truncated pyramidal rectangular form, with dome-shaped pestle, 4¼ x 2.5/8 in. (11 x 6.7 cm.); and another rectangular greywacke palette, 2½ x 1.3/8 in. (6.4 x 3.6 cm.) (3)

Cf. J. Bourriau, Pharaohs and Mortals, Cambridge, 1988, p. 145, no. 152 for similar. The palette was used as a mortar on which to crush the pigments used in make-up.
