A HELLENISTIC TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF A SEATED WOMAN
CIRCA 2ND CENTURY B.C.
Naked, her hair dressed in a long double chignon at the back, wearing a broad wreath and large circular earrings, repaired; and a Roman terracotta figure of Aphrodite, the standing goddess on a high circular stand, her arms bent up holding the ends of her drapery which has slipped down to reveal her naked body, with a dolphin curled around her legs, repaired, 1st-2nd Century A.D.
5½ in. (14 cm.) and 11 in. (28 cm.) high respectively (2)
