The circular white enamel dial with Arabic and Roman chapters within a laurel wreath surround, surmounted by a portrait medallion of Henry IV above a military trophy flanked by putti emblematic of Hercules and Justice, the base with a putto frieze, on a later grey-veined white marble plinth, formerly with musical movement
