Lot Essay

This print was made by Hine for exhibition in 1925 and is believed to be unique. No other prints in this size are known to exist on this characteristic "chocolate" tone, textured paper. There are approximately 20 prints on this paper in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, donated in 1954.
