Le Sang de Meduse

We are gratefull to Gisèle Ollinger-Zinque, curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Brussels, for her help in cataloguing this lot. She has kindly pointed out that the artist used to draw over his lithographs when he wanted to present these as presents to his friends (for the lithograph see R.L. Delevoy a.o., Fernand Khnopff, 1979, p. 313, fig. 319).
