Lot Essay

Emile Muller headed the ceramic factory at Ivry near Paris from 1854. It specialised in architectural decorative elements for which artists such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Philippe Wolfers, Charpentier, Falguiere and Albert Besnard (see Lot 136) provided designs.
