Circa 1880
Emblematic of the Four Seasons, comprising a mantel clock and a pair of four-branch candelabra: the clock with shaped case surmounted by a flower-filled vase, flanked to each side by putti emblematic of Spring and Summer, the circular gilt dial with white enamel plaquettes, with twin-train movement, garlanded with flower chains and with putti emblematic of Autumn and Winter below, flanking a panel painted with a courting couple, on shaped flower-encrusted stand with scrolled feet; the candelabra with central stem, mounted on one with putti emblematic of Spring and Summer, and on the other Autumn and Winter, each with four flower-encrusted branches with leaf-moulded drip-pan and nozzle, on spreading base and scrolled feet, each with blue crossed swords mark and various Pressnumern
