Each piece engraved with the Liver bird crest of Liverpool above a polished ropetwist band, the lower parts to the bowls and the feet elaborately cut with sunray ornament, comprising: four sherry-glasses (minute chips to footrims) 5 in. (13.5 cm.) high; and seven port-glasses (one with bruise to rim, minute chips to footrims) 4.1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) high (11)

From the service commissioned by the Liverpool Corporation and made by the local firm of Perrin Geddes & Co., Warrington, for a lavish dinner held in honour of the Prince of Wales (later George IV) on 18th September 1806.
