A Worcester French-green ground part dessert-service
Circa 1770
Each piece with a central green flower with gilt foliage within serrated green cartouches and borders, the handles and finials enriched in gilding, gilt-line rims, comprising:
Three bucket-shaped ice-pails, covers and liners (one base cracked, one with foot lacking, one cover with slight chip to underside of flange, one liner riveted)
Two oval two-handled sauce-tureens, covers and stands and a ladle (one stand riveted, one finial minutely chipped)
A quatrefoil dish, with gilt feather-moulded rim (slight rim chip)
Three shaped square dishes in two sizes (one large dish with two pieces broken from rim and repaired, small dish with flaking to rim)
Two shell-shaped dishes (one chipped, the other riveted)
Six lobed lozenge-shaped dishes in two sizes (two of each size riveted) Twenty-one plates (one restored, four riveted, two cracked, five with rim chips)
