The compressed spherical vessel resting on a short ring foot, the metal of an even opaque pink tone with darker swirls suffused throughout
5 1/8in. (13 cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

This 'gong-shaped washer' or tangle xi was most probably inspired by a Kangxi version of the same form covered in a peachbloom glaze. For such an example see lot 935 in this sale.
