THREE ENGLISH 'JEWELLED' COBALT-BLUE GROUND WARES
Coalport, circa 1881-1890, printed green crowned marks and various pattern nos.
Including a flattened oviform vase moulded in high relief with a sparrow perched on a flowering branch, the reverse with a similar small branch and grasses, the side panels 'jewelled' below the scroll handle, the panel edged with gilt flowerheads, 7in. (19.7cm.) high; a scalloped demitasse cup and saucer, the interior of the cup gilt, the wide border with white flowerheads on a gilt caillout ground enriched with turquoise 'jewels'; and a miniature coffee-can and saucer, gilt with flowering prunus enriched with white and coral 'jewels' (5)
