A LOUIS XVI STYLE ORMOLU-MOUNTED WHITE-MARBLE THREE-PIECE GARNITURE
Late 19th Century
Comprising a mantle clock and a pair of six-light candelabra, the mantle clock with circular enamel dial painted with foliate swags and indistinctly signed Gi_____ A Paria within an urn-form case cast with laurel leaves and ribbon-tied foliate swags surmounted by a figure of cupid all upheld by two classically clad maidens on a shaped plinth applied with beading rosettes and a foliate swag centering a cartouche, on foliate cast toupie feet, the pair of candelabra each cast as classically clad maidens with one arm raised supporting foliate scrolling candlearms, the other hand holding foliage or a water jug, on a shaped plinth similarly applied with beading, rossetes and a foliate swag centering a cartouche and ending in foliate cast toupie feet
