A one-page typewritten letter from Baseball Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis to Joe Jackson. The letter dated July 16, 1923 is in response to another application for reinstatement by Joe Jackson. Before passing along the application Landis demands, ...a full statement in detail of your conduct and connection with the arrangement for the "throwing" of the World's Series of 1919. He goes on to warn Jackson, I feel I should say to you that there will be no reinstatement of any player who had any connection therewith. On BASEBALL stationary and signed in black ink.
