Volume I bound in full red morocco, covers with a cubist design composed of black morocco onlays and gilt fillets radiating from a central onlaid blue morocco gilt disk consisting of a globe on the upper cover and on the lower cover the equation "E=MC2" lettered in gilt on a black band, the design continuing onto the gilt-lettered smooth spine, Volume II in black morocco, with the same design but reversing the colors, the central blue morocco disk on the upper cover consisting of a human figure with arms spread in the style of Drer's illustrations on human proportion, that on the lower cover containing an onlaid red morocco gilt representation of a brain, turn-ins ruled in gilt, top edges gilt, by Michael Wilcox, 1992, with his morocco gilt label on lower turn-in of vol. II; each volume housed in a felt-lined drawer-style buckram slipcase with red or black morocco lettering-piece, within overall fitted buckram slipcase.
