A LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE BREAKFRONT-BOOKCASE
Circa 1800
The arched cresting with a dentilled edge over a fluted and flowerhead-carved frieze above a pair of glazed doors with Gothic arch mullions flanked by a pair of similar doors, the base with a fall-front secretaire drawer enclosing various drawers and pigeonholes, flanked by a pair of short drawers, over two pairs of oval-inlaid doors with three metal labels embossed 'THE PERSONAL PROPERTY OF ELLA PARSONS', brasses replaced, with red inscription 28-381, with white chalk inscription Winston Salem, NC/Richmond, VA/TM Jones
