Rectangular oblong white enamel box with rounded corners, the cover, sides and base decorated with silver-gilt raised reliefs depicting a raven holding a cheese observed by a fox, after La Fontaine, a cornucopia between them, surrounded by scrolling foliage and latticework, the reeded metal-gilt mounts with slightly raised shell-and-scroll thumbpiece
