The cylinder movement stamped Potonie, Paris, striking on a single bell, with visible mechanism enclosed by a white enamel chapter-ring with blue Roman hour numerals, inscribed Potonie Leon, Paris, enclosed by an engraved frame fitted with three circular blue-ground porcelain panels, each painted with floral sprays, now contained within a later perspex case
the clock 7½in. (19cm) high
