A FRENCH BRASS AND CREAM COMPOSITION CLOCK GARNITURE

The clock movement striking on a coiled gong, with cream chapter-ring decorated with Arabic numerals, in rectangular-section case, the front angles formed as Corinthian columns painted and decorated in beadwork with insects amongst foliage, the frieze decorated with a similar panel of a Kingfisher and an insect on a cream ground, the rectangular moulded cornice with turned finials to the angles, centred by a domed pediment with further urn and leaf-cast finial, the rectangular moulded base on toupie supports, 12¼in. (31cm) high; a pair of two-handled side vase and fixed covers, en suite, 9½in. (24cm) high; and three velvet-lined giltwood plinths (3)
