A FRENCH GILT-BRASS AND SÈVRES PATTERN PORCELAIN CLOCK GARNITURE
The clock movement striking on a single bell, with royal blue and gilt circular porcelain dial, decorated with Roman hour numerals, a shaped porcelain plaque below painted with a gallant and his companion, in highly ornamental case, cast with acanthus, flowerheads and foliate swags, the pediment formed as a two-handled vase with fruiting bud finial, on acanthus-cast scrolled supports, 17¾in. (45cm) high; and a pair of two-handled side vases en suite, each with interchangeable detachable cover/candle-holder, one side ornament broken at stem, with velvet-lined giltwood plinths and ebonised bases with glass dome covers (glass dome cover for clock broken and badly repaired)
