The four pillar movement striking on a coiled gong, with brass dial (formerly silvered), inscribed Repeating Regulator, with outer minute band and subsidiary seconds dial and hour dial, enclosed by a circular brass-framed glazed door flanked by turned demi-columns and surmounted by a moulded arched pediment, the frieze fitted with an arched glazed trunk door enclosing a brass and steel pendulum with massive brass bob, engraved silvered regulating scale below, inscribed slow/fast, the glazed trunk door flanked by turned columns, on box base and bracket feet joined by a waved apron
