The convex plate with reeded ebonised slip enclosed by a moulded frame cast with stylised leafs, flanked on either side by scrolled candle-branches, each with a gilt-metal hexagonal socket applied with roundels above waved drip-pans, the acanthus-carved pediment surmounted by a displayed eagle, acanthus-carved apron below, the reverse bearing a paper label inscribed Kearney's, Looking-Glass Whare House, No.49 Henry Street, Dublin, one wing-tip to eagle missing, minor damages
