A Cow resting by a Tree

This would seem to be a study for the cow in the centre of Pasture near Utrecht recorded by S. Reiss, Aelbert Cuyp, London, 1975, p. 99, no. 64, as from the studio of Cuyp, dating it to 1645-50. The tree to the right of the cow does not appear in the picture. Related drawings by Cuyp are in the Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin, and in the Fondation Custodia, Paris, inv. no. 4369.
