A rare blue and white 'kraak porselein' saucer-dish
Circa 1615-1625
Painted to the centre with a star-shaped panel enclosing a bird perched on rockwork beside flowering peony, reserved on a multi-patterned ground divided by demi-roundels, the sides moulded and painted with two rows of flower petals below the shaped rim, the reverse with a dotted scroll border round the footring (rim crack and related small chip, minute frittings)
