Overall inlaid with brass lines, the stepped rectangular top, supported by four columns with engine-turned capitals, centred by a circular white enamelled Roman dial, signed C. Detouche Freant/160 RUE St MARTIN, within a foliate bezel, the twin-going movement stamped C. Detouche/3589/RUE St MARTIN 160 and Japy Freres/MEDAILLE D'OR, the gridiron pendulum cast with rockwork and C-scrolls, centred by a maiden's mask, above a stepped plinth, on block feet
