Half-title. 31 lithographic plates printed by M.& N.Hanhart, 28 chromolithographstet, 3 uncoloured, all after various Indian artists, students at the Government School of Art at Calcutta. (Small tear to lower blank margin of E1.) Modern red half morocco gilt by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, spine in five unequal compartments with raised bands, large green morocco lettering-piece in third compartment, two others tooled with snake motifs, t.e.g. The second edition, revised and enlarged.
