A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY OPEN ARMCHAIRS
Attributed to Mayhew and Ince
Each with a framed padded oval back and serpentine-fronted seat covered in green material, the toprail centred by carved foliage, with channelled arms with scrolled ends on downswept serpentine supports above turned rectangular flowerhead panels, on ring-turned tapering fluted legs with gadrooned collars, on tapering feet, later blocks, minor restorations, one inscribed in chalk '30...xg(?)'
