A CELADON JADE LIBATION VESSEL, AND A BURNT JADE RECTANGULAR VASE
17th/early 18th century, and 17th century
The first vessel carved and pierced with a chilong handle, extending to the sides with two further chilong clambering amidst entwined scrolling linghzi, prunus and pine, the stone of celadon tone with yellow-cream streaking and black inclusions, minute extremity nicks; the second of flattened shape, each side carved in low relief with key-fret, ruyi and shou bands, with two deeply carved and pierced elephant-head handles at the shoulder below the waisted neck, the mottled stone ranging from creamy pale brown to light and dark grey tones with occasional bright green flecks
