TWO KAKIEMON-STYLE DISHES
Fuku Mark, Edo Period (Late 17th Century)
Each decorated in underglaze blue, one with a tiger leaping over sprays of bamboo, the rim with a continuous band of flowerheads and foliage, the reverse with sprays of flowers and scrolling foliage, kin mark, old wear to the rim and a fine hairline crack; the other similarly decorated with a tiger, its head turned towards sprays of bamboo, the rim with a continuous band of flowerheads and foliage, the reverse with a band of stylised flowers and foliage
