Lot Essay

A pair of slightly larger landscapes, one signed and dated 'J. Rathbone/Ibbetson 1798', were sold at Sotheby's, 8 April 1998, lot 15 (£30,000). Another collaboration by the two artists is at Hull (Fercus Art Gallery).
