Engraved frontispiece, letterpress dedication, 57 engraved maps by William Kip and William Hole after Saxton and Norden, most double-page on guards, 10 engraved illustrations of coins and views, numerous woodcut text illustrations. (Frontispiece and last leaf worn and mounted, occasional small stains, small burn hole in a few leaves affecting a few letters, A3.4 loose, Xx1.6 lightly soiled, a few tears repaired without loss.) Contemporary panelled calf, floral ornaments at corners with central floral lozenge (somewhat worn, rebacked, corners repaired). Provenance: contemporary annotations in two hands.
