A good unsophisticated copy of an interesting work, printed in the Philippines, on the fledgling Spanish tobacco industry in the archipelago. The various rules were originally compiled, on the instructions of Don Joseph de Galvez, for the management of the industry in Mexico. The over-riding intention of the rules was to maintain the Spanish government's monopoly of the trade. Palau 120690 (and cf.120691).
