Lot Essay
The glass in the rear door of this clock is pasted with a contemporary cutting from a newspaper dated May 1812 describing how the then Prime Mininster, Mr Spencer Percival, was assasinated by John Bellingham and above the cutting a note giving the reputed provenance to the clock.
