Lot Essay

Related to a picture in Oldenburg, exhibited in the Orangerie des Schlosses Charlottenburg, Berlin, 1966, no. 35. The drawing bears a number of differences with the picture, such as the foreground figure of Cupid in the former pushed backwards and the background boy absent in the latter. The reclining woman and the parasol are almost unchanged.
